Pair of Rangers First-Round Picks Named to National Junior Teams

A board-certified dermatologist and former diplomate of the National Board of Medical Examiners, Dr. Steven Armus leverages over 15 years of relevant experience to serve as owner of Dermatology Consultants of Wisconsin. Outside of his career endeavors, Dr. Steven Armus is a lifelong fan of the National Hockey League's (NHL) New York Rangers.

Through the first 34 games of the 2017-2018 season, the Rangers boasted an impressive 19-12-3 record and were tied for third place with the Columbus Blue Jackets in the competitive Metropolitan Division. The future appears equally bright for the Rangers, as its two first-round picks from the 2017 NHL Entry Draft, Lias Andersson and Filip Chytil, were named to their respective countries’ World Junior Championship (WJC) teams.
Selected seventh overall in the most recent draft, Andersson is a 19-year-old center who has 14 points in 22 games with Frolunda of the Swedish Hockey League this season. He will be playing in his second WJC after scoring three goals in seven games for Sweden last year.
Chytil, meanwhile, is an 18-year-old native of the Czech Republic who has been playing for New York's American Hockey League affiliate in Hartford, Connecticut, this season. Through 15 games with the team, he has five goals and seven assists.
