The Knicks selected 19-year-old France native Frank Ntilikina in the eighth overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft in the hope that he could become the team's starting point guard. The Knicks want him to learn from experienced point guards throughout his rookie season.

The team signed a group of veterans to round out its roster, including Jarrett Jack, who was signed in mid-September. He joins recent acquisitions Ron Baker and Ramon Sessions.

A 33-year-old Maryland native, Jack has played 12 seasons in the league and averaged 11 points, 4.5 assists, and 2.9 rebounds per game. As for Ntilikina, Jack said he is anticipating giving the rookie all the advice he has garnered in his professional career.
